Role Balance

Dear Attendees,

 

We understand that it can be frustrating to attend a festival where there is not an equal number of leaders and followers. We want to ensure that all attendees have the best possible experience, so we kindly request your cooperation in registering with a partner or registering early enough as an individual (No later than FIRDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2024) to help us achieve role balance for the classes.

 

We will do our best to balance the roles in the classes, but please note that we cannot guarantee a partner per dancer. Additionally, we cannot be responsible for your partner's experience level in the class. Therefore, to maximize your class time, it is always best to bring your own partner.

 

Please keep in mind that once online registration is closed, you will only be able to sign up for classes a la carte or at the door. While we will welcome you, we cannot guarantee you a partner.

Balance of Classes

 

Greetings, esteemed dancers,

 

We hope this message finds you well. We kindly ask for your assistance in maintaining organization and gender balance in our forthcoming workshops. To this end, we would be grateful if you could inform us of the classes you plan to attend in advance.

 

Please note that while changes to your workshop selection are allowed, we kindly request that you notify us of any changes as soon as possible. Please bear in mind that making changes on the day of the festival may disrupt the balance of the classes.

 

If you are attending with a partner, you need not worry about causing any imbalance through changes to your workshop selection.

Level and Class Guidelines

Choosing the appropriate level of class is crucial for your own improvement and for the well-being of the other students. Please take the time to assess your skill level before enrolling in a class.

 

Musicality classes are open to all levels, while intermediate classes are suitable for those who have a good grasp of fundamental tango vocabulary and are comfortable leading/following patterns. Advanced classes are intended for students who are already proficient in the topic and are looking to fine-tune their technique and execution.

 

Please make every effort to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the class starts to avoid disruptions and ensure that the instructors can start on time. Please also note that video and still cameras are not allowed during the instructional part of the class. The instructors will provide a summary of the workshop at the end of the class.

 

We hope you have fun at the workshops, but please remember to be polite to the instructors and other students. Your cooperation will help create a positive and enjoyable learning environment for everyone.
